A yarn bowl with a built in needle sizer, what could be more useful and perfect than that? If you have ever struggled to find your needle gauge, this may be your solution.
The outside of the box is 6"x5"x5.25"
The inside of the box is 5"x4.5"x4.75"
Two average yarn cakes can sit inside the box next to each other. One of the sides of the box has a slot for your yarn to come through, the other side has a built in needle sizer, and a 6" ruler. The box is also a nice size for stashing needles, buttons, and other notions when you're not using them!
Good to know:
-The wood that I use is sustainably harvested and local to Pennsylvania (as am I).
-The box is cut out with a laser, so those black edges are actually burned black. Leaving the edges black creates a beautiful two-tone design aesthetic that I like to use as a functional accent. The pieces of the box are sanded and oiled by hand. I use boiled linseed oil, a classic finish for wood. The linseed oil seals the wood and brings out its own naturally beautiful color. The box is pressed together, so there is no need for glue.
-The wood grain of each box is going to be different and unique - that's one of the beautiful things about working with a natural material!
Open the lid, take out the ruler, and access all your favorite pens, paperclips, sticky notes, an eraser, or whatever useful notions you want to keep together. The center compartment is also a good size for double point knitting needles, the smaller compartments can hold stitch markers and other small knitting notions.
This box is a perfect gift for any knitter, or avid bullet journaler in your life...or really anyone who likes to keep their pens and desk neccesities organized and neat. Or it makes a perfect treat for yourself!
The center compartment is 8 inches long, 2.75 inches wide, and 1.5 inches deep.
The smaller compartments are each 1.75 inches long, 2.75 inches wide, and 1.5 inches deep.
The box is made out of solid cherry wood. Each piece is laser cut, hand sanded, hand oiled, and assembled without any glue (but don't worry, it's permanently pressed together). All of the wood that I use is sustainably harvested from Pennsylvania's rich forests.
This sweet nativity set is like a small puzzle. Each figure fits in its own spot, and the whole set can be packed back up into its box when the season passes.
The base of the nativity set is 4"x2.5". Assembled the set is 5" wide, 4" long, and the star is 4" tall. Joseph is 2.5" tall, Mary is 2" tall and Jesus is just under an inch tall.
Made out of solid cherry wood. Handmade in Pennsylvania from local, sustainably harvested cherry wood. Due to the handmade and natural nature of my work, the wood grain of the set you receive will likely vary slightly from the wood grain of the set in the pictures.
The wood is treated with food safe mineral oil, the same oil you'll find on wooden cutting boards. It is not stained or sealed with plastic. Re-oil as you wish to keep the wood soft and cared for. A coconut/beeswax blend is recommended, however mineral oil is fine too!
New! - Lazy Book Stands
A freestanding book shelf that holds your books at the right angle. Books lean ever so slightly, and it keeps them where they're supposed to be.
The stand is 5" x 8" x 12"
Handmade in Pennsylvania from local, sustainably harvested cherry wood. Due to the handmade and natural nature of my work, the wood grain of the stand you receive will likely vary slightly from the wood grain of the stand in the pictures.
The wood in this piece has been treated with boiled linseed oil. This oil hardens into the wood giving it a bit of protection. Linseed oil is a traditional wood finish that brings out the natural color of cherry wood without actually staining it.
